The Senior Scout Section is a direct progression from the Scout Troop and the Training Scheme is as follows:
- First Class/ Admission Test
- Bushman's Thong - Venturer Badge & 2 Proficiency Badges
- Scout Crown Award - Bushman's Thong, Ambulance Badge & 3 Public Service Proficiency Badges (or SS Instructor).

Scout Cord (Continued to be
worn, if gained as Scout, until Bushman's Thong gained)
